The Founder

Meet Ajoke Lawon,
The Snail Queen

In 2016, Ajoke Lawon started what would become a movement with nothing more than 30 snails and a corner of her student apartment in Ibadan. That tiny start wasn't born from certainty — it was born from curiosity, hunger, and a belief that agriculture could be reinvented by young Nigerians.

Eight years later, Ajoke leads Joks Snail Farm from their certified facility in Moniya, Oyo State — a full-scale operation that supplies thousands of households across Nigeria and exports dried snails to Nigerian communities in the UK and USA.

In 2022, Joks Snail Farm was selected for funding by Access Bank — a validation of the vision that snail farming could be both a serious business and a force for community development. Ajoke has since trained over 10,000 young Nigerians in snail farming, earning her the well-deserved title: Snail Queen.

What We Stand For

Our Mission & Values

Every decision at Joks Snail Farm is guided by three core principles that define who we are.

Natural & Sustainable

We farm in harmony with nature. Our snails eat natural feed, live in clean environments, and are raised without any chemical inputs. Good food starts at the source.

Community Empowerment

Ajoke's mission has always been bigger than one farm. By training young Nigerians, we're building a generation of agropreneurs who can feed the nation and build wealth.

Uncompromising Quality

From the moment a snail is born on our farm to the moment it arrives at your door, quality is non-negotiable. Our customers deserve the very best — and that's what they get.
